Empowering Sustainable Business Growth

Exploring the Future of Impact Investing

May 2026
Chrissy Liu recently participated in an Impact Investment Bootcamp together with a group of experienced and like-minded impact investors, engaging in open and thoughtful discussions around the future role of business, capital, and innovation in creating a more sustainable world.

The conversations explored the growing global uncertainty and the responsibility businesses and investors have in shaping long-term positive change. Topics included why businesses today must go beyond simply “doing no harm” to actively creating positive impact, and how investment capital can support companies delivering both meaningful societal value and strong financial performance.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of policymakers and regulation in accelerating sustainable transformation, as well as the need to continue investing time, energy, and capital into solving some of the world’s biggest challenges.

A strong focus was placed on how smaller innovative businesses can be supported in scaling their impact globally through strategic partnerships, investment, and ecosystem collaboration.

What stood out most was the shared commitment in the room toward building a better future for people, nature, and the planet. Chrissy Liu believes that impact investing represents an important shift toward more sustainable and long-term value creation — where positive impact and financial returns can successfully coexist.

She remains passionate about continued collaboration, shared learning, and meaningful conversations within the impact investing ecosystem.

Purpose and Profit: Rethinking Value Creation

April 2026
In this talk, Chrissy Liu shares her perspective on why profit alone is no longer enough as a measure of success. She explores how purpose-driven value creation, long-term thinking, and ecosystem design can help businesses unlock more sustainable growth.

For her, the shift is not about choosing between purpose or profit — it is about designing for both.

Supporting Sustainable Fashion Innovation with Petit Pli

April 2026
The fashion industry faces significant sustainability challenges, especially within childrenswear, where garments are quickly outgrown and frequently discarded. Reducing fashion waste while maintaining functionality, comfort, and design quality remains a major opportunity for innovation.

Chrissy Liu has had the privilege of supporting Petit Pli as both a strategy advisor and board member as the company continues to rethink how children’s clothing can be designed for a more sustainable future.

Petit Pli is a London-based, multi-award-winning material technology company developing children’s clothing that grows with the child across multiple age ranges. The garments are designed to be waterproof, windproof, breathable, and machine washable while extending the usable lifespan of each piece.

Together with Petit Pli CEO Ryan Mario Yasin, the work continues to shape the company’s long-term growth strategy and future vision. The focus is on how innovation, sustainable design, and strategic execution can help reduce childrenswear fashion waste at scale.

The team also visited the Textile Fashion Center in Borås, Sweden’s leading hub for textile and fashion innovation, where Petit Pli continues to gain recognition as a strong example of sustainability-driven fashion design.

Petit Pli’s innovation has been exhibited and archived at the Victoria and Albert Museum as an example of future-forward and sustainable fashion innovation.

What continues to inspire Chrissy Liu most is seeing how strong strategy combined with long-term execution can create meaningful impact. After years in strategy consulting and corporate leadership, she has learned that successful growth is not only about ideas, but about consistent execution, purpose-driven leadership, and building solutions that create value for both people and the planet.

TEDxGöteborg Open Mic: Why Human Connection Matters More Than Ever

Aug 2025
Chrissy Liu had the opportunity to speak at TEDxGöteborg Open Mic about a topic she deeply cares about: human connection.

In her talk, she explored how many of today’s biggest global challenges — including climate change, poverty, wars, and discrimination — are rooted in disconnection between people, nations, and nature.

She shared why she believes connection, empathy, and understanding are essential for creating a more sustainable and compassionate future. When people build walls and turn away from one another, everyone loses. But when openness and collaboration are embraced, real change becomes possible.

Although she felt nervous before stepping onto the TEDx stage, she was inspired by how many speakers reflected on similar themes around connection, wellbeing, and the idea that “less is more.”

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Silvie Alnas for the incredible coaching and support in preparing for the TEDx talk.
